Gas Works Park Senior Session with Brooklyn

I met up with my friend Brooklyn of about 16 years, to celebrate her upcoming graduation from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington with a graduation portrait session at the SPU campus and Gas Works Park. She was a student athlete with all 4 years of college on the rowing team. Senior photos was such a fun way to celebrate her upcoming graduation and accomplishments while in college, before the next chapter of life.

We first started off the session at the center of campus, surrounded by brick buildings and sunlight shining through the trees. While on the steps, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture the cap throw. It’s a fun part of senior sessions and as a bonus it often leads to laughter as it did in Brooklyn’s photos. Maybe it’s the excitement of realizing that it’s time to graduate. 🙂

After taking some portraits on the SPU campus, we went over to Gas Works Park, which was buzzing full of people out lounging in the grass, enjoying the sunshine. Out on Lake Union numerous boats passed by while we took photos at an overlook in the park. Another great location choice for her senior portraits.
