Amber & Kate

I met with Amber and her horse Kate at Curran Ranch in Bellingham, Washington to photograph portraits of the two of them. We found a beautiful spot nestled between the trees in a grassy field overlooking the water. One of my favorite parts of photographing people with their horses is finding the moments which are unposed and unplanned, which truly capture their relationship. This session included a few moments like this, where you can see the bond they share.

If you’re debating whether or not to dress up for your session I would highly recommend it. Amber chose to wear a long flowy dress for her photos and I think it was a great choice. 🙂 Dresses like this add a timeless look to the final images.
