For Isabella’s UTK grad photos, we focused on photos at Ayres Hall before moving to the Alumni Building. Her session is the perfect example of what happens when a popular spot is busy. Her priority was to get photos at Ayres Hall. Of course we were going to make that happen! For most of her session, we had a spot saved on the Cumberland side with the checkered floor. Instead of just standing in line waiting, we were able to get a lot of variety in her gallery.
This allowed us to take full advantage of the glowy sunlight until our turn. When spots have lines, I try to minimize the time we’re standing in line waiting. I like to get images in the surrounding area. Often this leads to more unique images in your gallery. These are typically my favorites! Isabella was amazing to work with and I’m thankful she was so open to trying different spots around the building. I loved the glow we got on the steps of Ayres! If we had just taken photos in the popular spot, we would have missed this opportunity. The wait worked in our favor.
